*****This has nothing to do with cars!*****

My favourite story would be lamb to the slaughter because i think Roald Dahl is a very clever writer. At first, he described Mary Maloney as a perfect housewife, loving his husband, waiting for him to go out for dinner and drinking whiskey together. But when she heard that her husband was leaving her, she was totally shocked. (i expected her to cry and beg him not to leave but this is not the case) She took out a lamb leg and hit hert husband with it, killing him. (totally different from my hypothesis) after that she didn't even cry, where was the women we knew that loved her husband so much?
From the start, it didn't show that she was very bright but after what happened, our way of seeing her changed. She was a intelligent women, she created an alibi and then told the officers to eat her weapon used to kill her husband(the lamb leg).
Overall, i think that Roald Dahl did this as at a time where the reader seemed bored, he was able to drag the writer back in again.
